Property inspection Calgary

Property inspections Calgary and Alberta in fact, have come a long way in the past five years. A House inspector or building inspector follows the Alberta standards requirement, needs to be certified with Servus Alberta, have errors and Omissions insurance, be bonded and may have optional liability insurance. The house inspector is also required to be a member of a home inspection organization like (CAHPI) Canadian Association of Home Property inspectors. CAHPI offers its inspectors training, tips and hints from professionals in the area to further educate the house inspector to provide professional building inspection.

A house inspector is considered a building inspector that can provide professional building inspection for up to a four unit building, because they are certified as residential home inspectors. The homes age vary in different communities of the city, the home inspector needs to understand the building codes at the time the house was built since building codes in 1912 are not the same as 2016. At Building Block Home Inspections we have the knowledge of the building codes at the time the house was built, and we will recommend upgrades on older homes and even homes that are less than 5 years old to improve the safety of the home for you and your loved ones.

Purchasing a home is a big decision and so pre-purchase inspection plays a crucial part of the buying process, we are here to help fulfill your needs.
